At the assembly Simon tries to communicate his feelings but is jeered. What does he say about the beast that causes ridicule?

Simon isn't jeered because he has said something about the beast. He is jeered when he admits he moves around at night to go to his jungle hideaway. When Jack hears the word "moves", he associates it with loose bowels and makes fun of Simon. Simon is embarrassed because he goes to the hideaway in order to contemplate the truth about the beast and Jack makes a crass joke about it.
