What is the symbolism displayed throughout Chapter 6?

I need the symbolism for only Chapter 6, and I need quotes or evidence to support them. Also, I need indepth symbolism, not just the easily identifyable symbolism like "the beast represents fear". List all ideas. Thanks for everything.

The corpse of the pilot dying from an aircraft engaged in war becomes a physical representation of the beast. The fact that the pilot has died from violence is ironic in that not only do the boys fear the pilot as the beast but perhaps also fear the violence that resides within their own natures.

Samneric see the figure when it is still dark. They only have the glow from the coals to see the figure. The lack of light or the sun as the power of reason creates fear within them. Darkness may represent the distortion of the boys fear.

The fact that the fire goes out before Samneric believe that they see the beast is further evidenence that their sense of reason has also gone dark.
