   The game that you are referring to occurs in Chapter 7 after the boys make an attempt to kill a wild boar.  Although the boar escapes, the boys are still so excited about the whole event that they create a game out of it.  One of the smaller boys, Robert, pretends to be the boar while the other boys dance and sing around him and pretend to stab him with their spears.  The boys get so caught up in this game that they end up beating Robert badly, almost killing him until they finally realize what they have done.
