Students Speak Out On Overall Experience

“My experience overall was quite amazing. The thing I have learned about Goucher is that it is an education that you must be proactive to create. It is a school where it is possible to get a degree where you barely had to do anything, took the minimum of classes, and got just passing grades. If you do that, your education will be adequate, if that. But there are tons of opportunities to be had and money available to make it happen. Depending on the initiative of the student, a Goucher education can range from Ivy League quality to community college level. For a student who has that drive, the school is great, for a student that doesn’t really care, it works for them, but for the student that has potential, but needs a kick-start from the outside, you may not be happy at Goucher.”

“I’m pretty content at Goucher. Having an attendance policy in almost every class can sometimes be a drag, but ultimately, it helps keep my grades up, which is good. I’ve had a few teachers who were a little too relaxed and didn’t give enough structure, or any structure at all, which made it hard to stay on task, but ultimately, my teachers have been good. The dance program is excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to dance in college but who doesn’t want to totally disregard his or her academics. There is a perfect balance between the two programs, and the teachers are excellent.”
